Meet the Mayor and Council |

Council Member, Gary Laird
- Water Department -
Council Member Laird was born in Ogden, Utah, and grew up in Roy, Utah. He graduated from Roy High School and attended Weber State University graduating in Public Administration. He
received his Masters from BYU.
Council Member Laird and his wife Carolyn made Uintah their home in 1986. They have three children, Stephanie, Jenalee (husband Mark), and Brian, and one granddaughter Baylee.
Council Member Laird was appointed in February 2003 to fill the position of J. Roy Fernelius following his resignation. He was elected to a two-year term in 2005, and in the fall elections of 2007 was elected to a four-year term beginning January 2008.
